Hey Scotty,
In your opinion how many miles could a 2004 Outback drive before the engine craps out?

Depends on how it was taken care of. The H6 are prety good engines, but the transmissions aren't the best. I wouldn't be first in line to buy one, but if you're considering one just make sure to get it inspected by a mechanic.
It's impossible to tell how long one will last when I can't see, hear, or experience it in any way.
