Hi scotty and team,
My parents have a 2004 vw passatt with 141,000 miles, it is their back up car, it was running really well when all of a sudden it started to jerk and the engine turned off. We tried to start it up and it just won't start. Once it did and then turned off. I have put on the scan tool and no codes. We think it's the fuel pump but what you guys think it maybe? Thanks.

Fuel - Air - Spark
Fuel - filter and pump. injectors.
Air - filter, MAF, etc,
Spark - coil packs, plugs

So check the fuel filter, fuel pump, air filter, fuel injectors. What is maf?
