i replaced the 6speed transmission $6000 then many codes appeared, ive put another $1000 in sensors, plugs, coils 4 vanos and connectors new mass air sensor, new tps, ill try new injectors and pump, starts good then sputters the levels out, but when given gas it sputters, what the hell is causing it {black}:excitement:

Well you should have listened to me those BMWs are endless money pictures of the age and yours is no exception those things are just disaster areas as they age I have the equipment to work on them but generally after I analyze it the customers say I'm getting rid of this pile of junk rather than put money into it. If you happen to be around Rhode Island for next couple months where I am visiting the grandkids I can analyze it for you free but I probably just tell you to get rid of this stupid thing
Well, those E60 5 series were pretty much crap and were worse quality than the e39, which were much better. You should not have invested so much money into that 545i since it costs a fortune to fix and maintain and they have no resale value.
