I was driving to workand the car stopped running on the highway. It felt as if it was the transmission that went out because it was still running, but when I gave a gas it wouldn't accelerate. So I scanned it when I got off of work and it had a po300 code. I don't understand why because the car ran fine until that one second when it went out. I had no sputtering no rough engine no nothing it ran smooth. So I do not understand the code can you help me out?

Change the fuel filter and pressure test the fuel pump. See here -

Did you see the rpm go up?
