2005 Dodge Ram 4x4 with 5.7 Preventitive Maintenance

Scotty:

I own a 2005 Dodge Ram 4x4 with the 5.7 liter hemi, 196K miles. No leaks, squeaks, pops or knocks. Paid $5K for it couple of years ago.

Runs absolutely perfect, shifts perfect, no OBDII codes and no outstanding recalls. I even get 17-18 mpg on the highway.

I've replaced shocks, serpentine belt with tensioner and put a new radiator in it (I do everything myself).

My question is should I put new plugs, wires, MAP sensor and O2 sensors in as a preventitive measure or is it best to wait for the "check engine" light warning.

Thx,

Rick

Thanks...

I’d put in the plugs/wires but the rest wait till the CEL light comes on.  If it’s not broke, no need to fix it.  But it’s up to you - but you can wait (it’s OK).
