I'm torn between repairing a 05 Titan 5.6 needing $2000 on non engine repairs that has 290000 miles nice shape other then typical surface wheel well rust over one wheel or replacing truck.
Whats your opinion on a F150 crew 4.6L with 250000 miles for $5000
F150 is one of the better trucks, parts are cheep and they last a long time.
That said I think the 250,000 miles you can find a lower mileage one.
i personally would walk away.
i would look for another F150 they are good trucks.
In terms of repairing, same mileage issue, what have you put into it? how long have you owned it?
ie what is the status of the engine and transmission.
I knew an industrial engineer who figured out that you can replace every single part of a used car
and still not come close to the cost of a new car (or truck). Would need a little more info on the status of the Titen before recommending putting that much into it.
