Bought an 05 Ford Escape awd with the 3.0l v6 duratec engine with 131k miles for 2900. Curious on whether this is a good reliable engine and car etc. keep or sell?
the 3.0 duartec is a great engine. The only issue that i know of is the cam shaft bolts can loosen and you will hear a knocking noise. If you stop driving it and tighten/replace the bolts that is as far as the issue goes.

Yeah good engine just the cam bolts become loosen like _aragorn_7 said but overall pretty good
@_aragorn_7 and Adrian, yeah I’ve heard about that I gotta pull them just to check. Only thing is there’s a slight oil leak, probably t joint or oil pan gasket. And the frame has a pretty bad rust spot I didn’t see prior to buying. So gotta have that fixed and welded. Other than that it runs great
