- My 2005 Ford ranger with 194,000 miles on it has started making a whistling noise after it goes 55 mph. It sounds like it’s coming from the dash, any ideas? Thanks.

Your Ranger uses engine vacuum to operate the Heater Control Valve in your dash -if one of the lines leaks/is disconnected, you would get that symptom.
