Hey Scotty I have a 2005 Hyundai Elantra 2.0l 5 speed manual 120k. I just bought the car and have done some work to it such as a new clutch, brakes, and tune up. In 5th gear at 65 I’m at 3,000rpms is this normal? From research it seems they all do this. I don’t want to burn my engine out I do a lot of highway driving usually around 70mph but I’m scared to go over 65 in this car. Please help

That is pretty normal. While reving lower is better, maintaining speed at a certain RPM is still easier on the engine than accelerating at that same RPM.  70 MPH isn't exactly super fast and you should be good to go 70 MPH, even in an Elantra.

It's a small motor and not very well built. They rev high and wear out fast, which is one of the reasons I don't recommend Hyundai.
