My friend has a Kia Cerato 2005 5sp manual with 170000km. He complains sometimes gear does not get into the location. Shifting does not occur properly. When he tried to drive up a small slop on 3rd gear , car stalled and was difficult to start back again. Sometimes grinding noise can be heard as well.
Any tips what he should do? change transmission oil?

Check all the clutch adjustments for proper disengagement and the clutch fluid reservoir.
