Hello Scotty,
Let me start by saying that I love your content, I have a 2005 Lexus ES330 with 260K miles. The car runs great no engine issues, but recently I've notice that when coming to stop light there is hard downshift seems like the car jerks. I did some searching and I think It may be the Transmission Clutch Solenoid, I'm just not 100% sure. I wanted to ask if you have seen this or other Toyota cars with similar drive train. How hard is the replacement if that is the issue.
Thank you in advance for all your help.
260k is a lot of miles. Your transmission is probably worn out.

If the fluid has never been changed, odds are, the transmission itself is wearing out. Automatic transmissions work on fluid friction, and, when the clutches wear out, the transmission fluid itself becomes the clutches. Given that you only have issues with lower gears, that's likely your problem. Accelerating from a stop means the most wear is in your lower gears. You need a transmission specialist to identify your problem, especially since you don't have any active codes. Active codes will trip the check engine light.
I notice that there is 7 solenoids, could the issue be related to just one or would a valve body be a better option.
