I have a chevy silverado 2500 2005 with 1120 miles and get random service 4x4 message and no 4x4 high or low mechanics and dealership have no clue except replace parts till problem stops thanks Roger B.Conant 8 year Navy Veteran who loves you channel on YouTube

you'll want to get your hands on a high end diagnostic tool and see what the system is trying to tell you.
Most often it's a blown shift encoder motor or something like that.
