I think I have found a decent deal on an 05 Forester for my daughter to drive in college. It has 180 K on it, I am just wondering what issues to look for. Thanks for the help!
Don't buy it unless the head gaskets have already been replaced.
It's a subaru so look out for head gasket issues and other sort of related engine stuff. Make sure it's maintained, if you don't know how to look, get a trustworthy tech to look it over for you before you buy. Like any car also check for any recalls and tsb's

They can be OK but don't pay much because its so old and keep in mind you might need to put some money into it.
Don't forget to have a pre-purchase inspection done by a mechanic.
