I have a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta 2.5 my heat only works when I have it on recirculation when I turn off recirculation and have it on fresh air the air stops blowing out of my vents the AC works 100% on fresh air or recirculation

Unfortunately those Volkswagen HVAC systems are incredibly complex. I have a data system that has over 100 pages on how to repair those stupid things. I have actually never seen one do that particular symptoms. You're going to have to pay a Volkswagen expert with this fancy Volkswagen tool to see if it's something like perhaps a recirculation flat problem or even something as complex as a failed module.
