I have a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta 2.5 manual transmission I'm having problems with reverse I push down the shifter pull it to the left and try to push it up and do reverse and it feels like it gets jammed what might be the problem and how do I fix it I've looked on the internet but can't figure it out

@chucktobias so you think it might just be a shift linkage problem
Hopefully it's something like that rather than an internal transmission problem.
@chucktobias it goes into every other gear smoothly
@chucktobias I can find reverse but it takes forever and then sometimes it'll go into reverse smoothly
@chucktobias here's what I found out so far doesn't want to find reverse it is because it's not enough and going all the way over and once I get it all the way over it'll go right into reverse but then there are times it'll go right into reverse without an issue
