I a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta 2.5 manual transmission I was driving today and start the vehicle and the vehicle didn't want to turn back on it would fire up and you hit the gas one time and it would shoot up to about $4,000 RPM then come back down and shut off you hit the gas repeatedly and act like it it didn't want to fire gas into the system so I sat around waiting for my buddy to come and look at the car and after a while maybe about 5 or 6 minutes I tried the car again and it fired right up so then we clean the mass air flow sensor and looked at the car and try to figure out what was going on couldn't figure it out so then I drove the car an hour and 45 minutes and parked the car and shut it off next thing I know I tried to start it up right afterwards to see if there was any issues and it wouldn't start so I waited 15 minutes and the car started right up again I don't know what's going on but I really want to I want to fix this problem does anybody know what's going on or have any ideas

Well it's a Volkswagen as they age. They often have electrical problems. Now when it doesn't start up, do my video test fixing a car that cranks but doesn't start up Scotty. It's on YouTube and it'll help you pinpoint what is breaking down, whether it's the fuel system or the ignition system or whatever
