2006 f150 Stuck in Park

Hello, got an 06' f150 with 140k miles with a 4.6l v8. Recently replaced the shifter cable and the truck drove great for a couple days and then it just stopped shifting. Checked the brake sensors and it doesn't appear to be the shifting interlock system. I disconnected the shifting cable and was still unable to shift it out of park. Is it possible that the shaft that goes into the transmission is seized and prevents any shifting, or could a seized up transmission range sensor cause this issue? Thank you in advance.

It sounds like there's an issue with your shifter lock solenoid assembly because when you disconnected the shifter cable you took the transmission out of the equation.

Have you tried manually overriding it?

You didn't say if the shifter was on the column or on the floor. Here's how to do both.
