2006 FORD F-350, 6.0 L diesel POWERSTROKE, 4x4, long bed, AUTOMATIC.
I just replaced the batts, Alternator.
started up after a long crank. lots of coal
No mods done to this truck that I know of.
let it warm up, drove it just fine for about ten minutes.
took it on the road up to almost 60 mph and no matter how much i put the pedal down...i went no faster and the temp started to shoot up!
i brought her back to 35 mph the temp came down and i parked.
While i was putting the battery in i noticed the resevoir cap was loose...so i tightened it.
any ideas?!

Well it could be the exhaust as clogged up. That's exactly what will happen with the clogged exhaust system. Or if the fuel system was clogged up, the filters are clogged and then it can't pump enough fuel
