Can a power steering assist motor off a 2008 ford escape hybrid be used on a 2006 model? Or is there tricks to reset or fix the current assist motor in the 06 model?

Personally I never swapped things but it's easy to tell if the motor fits or not just go to any auto parts store if it's got the same part number it will work if they're different part numbers they will not
