2006 Ford F-250 Amarillo Edition - I was considering buying the truck listed in the title from a private seller. The truck itself seems to be in pretty good shape. My only concern though, is the engine. It has a 6.0 liter V8 power stroke diesel. It has 238,000 miles on it and I am not sure if it is near the end of its life expectancy. I have done a little research into the engine and some sources say that it will only last anywhere between 200,000 and 300,000 miles. Other sources say it could last 500,000 miles to 1,000,000 miles. I'm not sure if it would be a good purchase or not.

To determine that, at a minimum you need to have it evaluated by a good mechanic before purchase, preferably a diesel expert.
They are really good trucks if you delete the emissions equipment lol
