- I have a 2006 ford five hundred se the front wheel drive and it has a cvt transmission but the cvt transmission shifts fine and everytime I accelerate the gas peddle the wrench comes on and the engine starts revving up high and I took to the dealer and the technician ran the diagnostics and a code came up for that issue and said it was the turbine speed sensor the service advisor said it’s a common issue with fords and the guy explained they would replace the turbine sensor but they would half to take the transmission out to check and see if the drum on the inside of the transmission is broken so what’s your thoughts on that particular issue and what should I do?
@dewey
How many miles are on it?

Well I would try the sensor first and if that didn't fix it if you don't want to spend a fortune rebuilding that CVT I'd ditch the car
