Ok, the last is250 I found sucked, but I think this one is going to be good. It is a 2006 Lexus is250 with 156k miles, manual, and it has some upgraded parts, new radiator and fan, drilled and slotted brakes with new pads, bc coilovers, a catback exhaust, and cold air intake. I am going to check it out tomorrow. Bringing a floor jack so I can see if there are any leaks underneath, and make sure there is no major rust(Ohio car). We are then taking it to a shop to have it scanned by scan tool and make sure everything is working like it should. Also it has a new oem clutch, unlike the last one. Asking 7500 obo, has had 3 owners, Im hoping tomorrow I will be the fourth, wish me luck! Anything I should check besides what I already mentioned? I am being very thorough about this because I want to make sure I get a healthy and reliable car.
Edit: owner is an older guy, not young like the last is250 I was looking at
Edit: nevermind, everytime I think i find a good deal it is too good to be true. The guy owes 7k on the car and doesnt have the title in hand. At least I found out before wasting my time going to see it. There is always a catch it seems.
I know how you feel. I have been looking at a used is250 myself and they're always screwed up in their own way.
Man, sorry to hear about that.
Just be patient though...your car is out there somewhere.
