Looking at a 2006 Lexus GX470 with 169,000 miles at a small dealership. Paint and interior look amazing. By far the best we've seen. The car has a ticking exhaust manifold. From what I've read it's a very common problem for the 4.7L but also a tight job and would be expensive if taken to a professional. If its really as common as I've read, it seems as if the next higher mileage gx470 could develop the same issue. Should I get the price down, buy it, and fix it, or find another car? Asking $12,000.
are you capable of doing this work yourself? How much do you really want this vehicle? The price seems to high. I would look for a better vehicle
Yeah I was gonna fix it myself. Was thinking 1Aauto kit or just upgrade to Doug Thorleys. I offered 10K. It didn't go over well..
