Hello Scotty/community,
2008 Lexus IS250 RWD, automatic
170k miles, fluid has never been touched.
It’s a commuter car and relatively kept up with.
Can and would it be even remotely wise to change the fluid on it? If so what was the old fluid capacity to put back in ALONG with the new fluid capacity?
Anyone with experience with this topic or suggestions can surely chime in.
Car runs good but I am starting to either feel a motor/transmission mount finally going out or the transmission is starting to show its age with some bumped shifting from 1-2…
Thanks from Austin/Chicago
See the site FAQ entry for changing transmission fluid.
Since you have Chicago in you post...Why not give AMD, "the car care nut" a call about your Lexus. He's got his own shop now. It's in Homer Glen, IL
