Hey Scotty! Greetings from a Fellow Buffalonian trapped in NYC.
I have the opportunity to pick up a black/black 2006 Mazda6 GT 3.0 manual car for around $3500. The car has about 105k miles on it and one owner. I know the later 3.5 and up Duratec motors have that engine grenading water pump issue, but apparently these 3.0's are different. Although they're in the Duratec family, they have belt driven water pumps. Any advice if this car would be worth my time? I generally work on all my own vehicles on all jobs up until needing a lift set-up. Thanks for your time!

I'm a bit concerned about rust. Old Mazdas rust like mad especially where you live.
