Hi Scotty and moderators,
I've got a 06 Nissan Teana, I believe this is some car close to nissan altima in the states. (I live in Taiwan). This vehicle comes with a four-speed transmission. Whenever it goes from the second gear to third gear, a squeaky sound accompanies. It's more obvious when going uphill, and when going uphill, it accompanies with a sudden slowdown too. Even though this happens when the gears change, to me it still sounds like a belt issue because of the sound which is more like a rubber slippery thing.
I'm a mountain guy so I go uphills a lot. To avoid this, now I usually set the gear at second and drive slow. What's your opinion on this one? thank you.
Your sincere fan from Taiwan. Republic of China.
