2006 Odyssey VCM? 208k miles

I have a 2006 Honda Odyssey 3.5 VTEC. On a previous video it seems like you had not felt that the 3.5 VT on the 2006 had VCM.
I had been looking previously at my engine and noticed the same plugs that are being unplugged and used with a VCM Muzzler in order to bypass the VCM.
how do I know if I really need a VCM muzzler or if my Honda operates with VCM when I see the same plugs in my car that are being disconnected and reconnected through the YouTube videos? I feel like the car has a rough idle so I thought that it did operate with VCM. Just want to be sure before I spend $95 on the muzzler. I did unplug it to see what it would sound like. When I unplugged it, the engine seem to run at a higher RPM, but the check engine light came on of course.

thanks,

neal

Check your owner's manual.

@chucktobias
Does not show in the 2006 or other manuals (looked in 2007 and 2010 when I do know the odyssey had the back) when I look in them. Does not appear. Since it does not appear when I know the 2007 and 2010 had vcm I don’t feel like the info was provided in them.

A service manual would probably have the information. Even if that vehicle has VCM, after 19 years  and over 200K miles the damage is done and a "muzzler", if some kind of gadget that plugs into the OBD2 port, could damage your electrical system.

@chucktobias
Ok thanks will return it. Even did the pdf so I could look up words vcm, cylinder and variable and came up with nothing

Given what Scotty has said many times about the Odyssey I'd be more concerned about the transmission than the engine. This is confirmed by other sources.
