So I have a 2006 scion tc. My car after a while would just kill and it wouldn't start up until after some time has past. Maybe like 20 min. I just changed the fuel pump so I'm lost.

Turns out the wire was broken so i replaced it.
That would do it! Thanks for letting us know.

You might want to test your crank position sensor. Those can fail when hot and start working again when they cool off.
