2006 toyota solara actuator and trunk issues

Hello I've got an 06 toyota solara se 4 cylinder 125k miles, the trunk doesn't open using the key fob, i went to the mechanic they said I needed a new actuator, the dealership wants 399 for a new actuator, I got one from eBay, it acts same as the old one, when I press the button it a beeping sound comes from near the dashboard but it doesn't open, is a fuse blown or something (do they even have a fuse 😅), don't know what esle to do, the key fob seems to be working fine.

Read a blog that said I need to trace if there's a break in the power cable, they didn't specify what power cable though.

I'll appreciate some directives on what further to do or check. Thank you for your responses.

If this part that you bought is OEM, then check the fuses for the actuator.

Yes it's OEM, please do you have a video or blog to help direct me on what to do?

Go to your fuse box and find the fuse in relation to the trunk and replace it.

I honestly can't find it in the fuse box under the hood or glove box, 😔

The location of the fuse box for your car is under the instrument panel on the left side behind the lid.
