Can I drive 600 miles with a leaking steering rack?

Hi, I've got an 06 toyota solara se, my mechanic says I need a rack and pinion ASAP, links to picture attached https://postimg.cc/gallery/VMKVjDK

I wanted to find out how soon I will need to change this, how soon it will become too dangerous to drive.

Also wanted to find out how much these parts might cost

Driving with damaged steering components is very dangerous.

Rent a vehicle or buy them some tickets..

I'm getting it fixed this Monday before our trip
Ended up costing about 1k, including wheel alignment and new inner and outer tie rod and whatever he added on there, oh and leaking valve cover gasket

Please not sure if you can tell from the pictures, how dangerous is it for me to drive it like that, I have to drop off my siblings at school this weekend, about 600miles to and fro
