Hi, I've had this issue on the original and previous starter as well. I just had the starter replaced about 300 miles ago. It grinds periodically. I researched, and it seems there is a spacer or something that needs to be put in to align it better? Where would I get this spacer and how do I put it in? Is this easy to do?

Well if it is spacers any auto parts store can sell them they come in various sizes you have to remove the starter put the spacer in between the starter and the transmission and then bolted on until you get the right distance but most modern starters aren't spaced
