2007 honda odyssey 141km ignition key locks unable to remove if auto trans shifter placed into park. I can remove key if I place shifter into park slowly

Replace the transmission neutral safety switch
I replaces the switch due to a P1717 check engine error, check engine error went away. I centered the switch but I probably should have positioned the switch biased to one side since the switch had a elongated screw hole. If that’s the problem I can live with it than removing the battery holder again. I was thinking the shifter stop position can be adjusted, is that possible? would be easier.
or maybe if possible adjust the shifter to switch cable length!!
