Hey Scottie, thanks for your channel and this platform. I have had my GX470 with 205k miles to 2 different mechanics I trust that cannot diagnose the random engine miss and hard start problem with it. It only has those issues occasionally, which makes it concerning to me. We have replaced the timing belt with tune up, replaced  all 4 O2 sensors, replaced all ignition coils, all catalytic converters and we still get codes on the coils and the occasional sputter and miss.

I have started using premium fuel in it again, yep as a single parent I’m cheap, with gas treatment every fill up and that seems to have helped. It is well maintained and just want to trust it for me and children to drive.
I’m out of ideas and sure could use your expertise here. You can send me your contact info via email if so.

I just want it running as good as it should.

I live in middle TN and would bring it to you to diagnose if that is an option.

See the FAQ for contacting Scotty to make an appointment. He is currently in Rhode Island but should be going back to Tennessee in the relatively near future.

Well I'll be back in Tennessee December. I could check it out then. Free of course. Since using the more expensive gas seems to help somewhat, it's got to be some kind of fuel problem. But like I say, if you want to bring it to Clarksville during the week middle of December I'll check it out
