Hey Scotty what are your thoughts on a 2007 Mazda Rx8 with 80k miles for a first car? Are they reliable?

Don't do it. Rotary engines are notoriously unreliable and not many mechanics know how to work on them. That's why RX-8's have CHEAP resale prices.

Depends on what you want. If it is strictly a toy then an RX-8 can be an excellent toy.
