2007 Pontiac G6 2.4 L LE5 engine with 153,000 miles
i have a check engine light with code p0420, but the car runs and drives like a dream. Where should I start? I also hear an engine clunk while my AC is on only at idle, but when I turn off the AC, the noise stops. Could this be a worn belt?

Well that called me as a catalytic converter is not working efficiently. Unfortunately, dozens of things can trip with that code. But I would start by pressure testing the catalytic converter. We mechanics can do that and if it's got too much back price you would have to replace the catalytic converter
I have a 2007 Pontiac G6 2.4 I4 with the LE5 engine and it runs and drives very well but it has a code p0420 but the car doesn’t seem to be sluggish, what could it be? The engine clunks at idle when it is cold but only with the AC on when the engine is cold. Are these problems related?
