2007 RX350

I think I broke your golden rule on buying a used car. One of my neighbors recently passed away. She happened to be 98 and would have been 99 the middle of November. She purchased the 2007 RX350 new in 2007. She had driven the car as recently as February by herself. My wife had spoken to her many times about buying the car when she was ready to hang up driving for good. Well, the time did not happen until October 2020 when she passed. Her daughter asked us if we were still interested in the car and of course we said we were. We did indeed purchase it 3 days ago and we paid $7,000 cash but had never driven the car, much less look at the inside of the car until we bought it. We knew the mileage was under 40,000 miles and the car was always serviced at the Lexus dealership. Your golden rule is to always get a mechanic to inspect and I do believe that is a good rule to follow. In this case, would you have jumped at the chance to purchase like we did? The car is perfect in almost every way.
