Hey Scotty quick question for you I have a 2007 Toyota Corolla 218,000 original miles original engine and transmission well-kept how long do you think the car would last you think it would last over 300,000 with proper maintenance
Clarification: which engine and transmission do you have?
If it doesn’t burn any oil & your transmission is still shifting smoothly, sure..
Just keep up with the maintenance and do not overheat the engine.
If you maintain it properly, anything is possible.
Be sure to stay on top of engine oil change intervals (no more than every 5,000 miles max) and transmission fluid changes (every 40,000-50,000 miles max). Follow the other maintenance in your manual. And if you stick to mostly highway mileages and also don’t drive it hard, then you increase your chances to getting to 300,000 miles relatively trouble-free.
