Prior to taking this Car to Tires Plus there was no front end noise (clunking) at low speeds, less than 25 MPH.
We spent close to 3K in repairs, and 2 days later this problem appeared. Informed that we needed another 1.5K in repairs to correct the trouble. We refused, since the problem originated after they repaired the car.
The lower control arms and lower ball joints where replaced by tires plus, cannot recall any issue prior to this.
I Replaced the dog bone motor mount and the sway bar links, which corrected some, but not all of the issue.
Have tried to locate the source, but have had no luck, and don't want to go to Toyota have a service estimate, but may have to to back my claim.
Any suggestions or advice will be appreciated.
John
This is why we tell people to avoid those chain shops. They tend to be ripoff artists and can be so incompetent they may not even realize they are ripping you off.
Your best bet would be to take the car to a good independent mechanic, a front-end specialist if possible, for evaluation of the problem.
They used to be good, now they Suck. I'll probably take it to Toyota, so I can get what ever is wrong fully documented. So far, Bridgestone has never responded, but they fight is not over yet. Our safety is the most important part of this.
Just be aware that dealers frequently don't have very good help in the shop (they don't pay enough for highly skilled people to stick around) and most will take every opportunity to deliberately rip you off.
