My aunt has a 2007 Toyota solara. The headlights are so dim you can barely see them. High beams are very bright. She took it to a repair shop and had them polish the lenses and replace the bulbs and it's still. Very dim and next to useless. Is there a brighter alternative to the form bulbs? Led maybe? Is there something else that can be causing the headlights to be super dim? She says it's been this way for several years. I just drove with her and you can barely see the road.

Check all the grounds & wiring.
While you’re at it, also load test the battery & alternator.
