Just replace the stater on 2007 Tundra 5.7I SR5 double cab pickup. Can't get the heat shield on the starter back on, and the other isn't going on until the smaller one on the back is done. How important are these heat shields anyway?

They do serve a purpose but hack you can go to any hardware store and get any kind of insulation I put that on instead
