Dear Scotty,
Thinking about a conversion adventure van/truck. It's based on an F450 Hot Shot truck; used to be an Ambulance or Fire Truck with 149K miles. (sold by Tommy Camper Vans of Phoenix) What is the reliability of these 450/550 machines in your opinion?

It depends on what motor is in it. If it is a 6.0 or 6.4 and has not been bulletproofed correctly, stay away. The 6.8 v10 is a great motor, as well as the 6.2.
