I have a 2008 Honda Accord V6 Automatic with 154000 miles on it and the car seems to ride lower than usual. I feel like the car rides very harsh especially on speed bumps where the car bounces a lot. I did the test where I pushed on the each side of the car to see which struts are bouncy and the rear ones were the bounciest. My question is does the lower than usual ride on my car have to do with the struts and also if I replaced any of the struts will my car ride higher?
FWIW, when I changed my struts out on my 1999 Accord (front), it sat a little higher than previously. Same with my 2004 Prius, the rear sat slightly higher when I changed the back struts out.
Also, on the packaging my struts came with, it says something like “Your car may sit a little higher with the new struts, than the old struts.
The struts have nothing to do with that. Are the struts showing any leaks? At your mileage and the conditions you're explaining, they need to be changed.
My mechanic looked at all 4 struts and none of them are leaking
Are their any reasons why the car drives very low? All the Accords of the same model year that I’ve seen drive higher than mine.
The springs could have sagged
