I have a 2008 Lexus GS 350 with 169,000 miles on it. Went out a couple of days ago and the car wouldn't start. And this is what it's come to.
Lexus, dealer had to put a battery in it.

They also said that I need to get the following done:
Brake Fluid Flush $167.51
Rear shocks $1582.12
Both Front Axle boots $2889.72
Timing Cover reseal for oil leak $4743.96
Spark Plugs...due by time and miles $358.92
Engine Mounts $4597.50
10 engine clips $29.04
Left front outer Marker bulb $50.23

And plus, it has two recalls on it.

The car rides fine to me.
Is it worth it to even get it fixed or should I just let it go? I am also going to show this to another place and they may be able to fix it for half but I just don't want to continuously dump money into a car that's that old.
 Thanks Scotty,

Mark

Find an independent trustworthy mechanic who is not only working on Lexus cars and find out how much it cost for you for the repairs (if any necessary). Then, decide what to do.

Thanks Yaser,
There is an independent shop that I have dealt with before. They do good work and the cost will probably be half of what the dealers charging, but even so , I don't know if it's worth it.

Before you spend a dime, do as Yaser said. You said the car seems to ride fine to you, so... the only item on your repair list of any concern (to me, anyway) is the motor mounts. I would check them out.
