2008 Lincoln MKX AWD Radio Upgrade

I have an 2008 Lincoln MKX. I purchased a 2010 Lincoln MKX factory touchscreen/navigation radio hoping to upgrade from the old basic one. The radio is working as it's plugged in but unfortunately the volume is very quiet and when I try to change the volume up or down the radio shows "maximum volume". It also wont show the time on it either. My question is, is there anything I can do to get the radio functioning as it should? I would hate to spend $100+ on an aftermarket radio as that's what I paid for this factory radio, it was the specific one I wanted.

The head unit may not be properly interfaced with the power amp, if the latter is a separate part. In that case you might need the amp from the 2010 Lincoln to make it work.

By any chance would you be able to assist me to find that amp for 2010 Lincoln MKX? I don't want to accidentally purchase the wrong part. It would not matter to me what source you find it from if you can. I really appreciate the information you gave me.

I'm not familiar with that vehicle at all and don't know anything specific about the radio in it, I just know in general many cars have an amplifier separate from the head unit. (Mine has the amp under the passenger seat.)

Probably the best source would be a junkyard that has the necessary components from a 2010 MKX with the same radio. It might or might not be necessary to use a bidirectional scan tool to "marry" the components to the car.

Sorry I can't be more specific but I really have no experience with those vehicles. You may be able to obtain details in a forum devoted to them.
