im able to to reverse perfectly fine but the car is slow to accelerate what could be the problem?
Clarification: Mileage, engine/transmission combo?
Engine: 2.4L I-4
Transmission: 4-spd auto w/OD

Do engine RPMs increase while trying to accelerate? Is transmission fluid at the proper level? Does a scan tool show any codes?
the RPMs do increase and i drained and changed the transmission fluid and filter and no codes come up
Sounds like the transmission is slipping. For transmission codes you need a dealer-level/fancy scan tool like Scotty uses. Those won't show up on a generic OBD2 code reader.
