Hey Scotty, I have a high mileage Nissan and I wanted to know what kind of cvt trans fluid I should use? Does it have to be the one from the dealer or can I buy an aftermarket one from Walmart.... I check the manual but I couldn’t find what type of fluid it takes thanks in advance... I hope this car goes until the wheels fall off hahaha

The exact fluid to use is in your owners manual, Chapter 9 under Capacities and Recommended Fuel, Lubricants, Fluids.

Per the Service and Maintenance Guide, calls for replacing every 30,000 miles.

Does this match with your owner’s manual? If it does, I’d buy this exact CVT fluid from the dealer -

Is that the original transmission?

I used Idemitsu the last couple times without any issues.
