I'm looking for a new car and came across a 2008 Toyota Avalon, 135k miles, I've heard that they have some issues. What are some things I should look for when looking at it? The owner also says that the display and stereo are not working, is that a big problem to fix? I saw on carfax that they took it to the dealership to get the wiring inspected but it seems that nothing got done to fix it. Should I get it or not?

The main issue is the power steering rack. Make sure the power steering fluid does not drip on the ground and the steering is fine. About the electric issue, have a mechanic check it out.

Don't buy a thing until you have a Diagnostic Mechanic do a general inspection.

Last time I took a car to a mechanic to do an inspection, they named out things that I had already found. Maybe there was nothing wrong with car but Ill for sure try and find a better mechanic and see what they say.
