210k miles, outside looks pretty good, no rust in Minnesota. $3,800.00. I don’t know about buying a car with that many miles. If it is good mechanically, is this a good price?

you won't find much at that price. If the mechanic gives it a pass, then grab it.

Take a pass. The XR has the 2AZ-FE engine that was recalled for weak piston rings, causing them to burn oil.
