How reliable is the 2009-2012 Chevy Malibu with the 3.6 L V6? I know that the 3.6s are known for timing chain issues but I haven't really heard of that problem on this specific car. It also has the seal of pretty good on carcomplaints.com.

The 3.6 is know to have a lot of issues and the rest of the car isn't known to be very reliable. I would probably avoid it overall if I were you.

you are correct, timing chain issues because of bad recommended maintenance intervals. If you can get it for cheap, go ahead and get it. Just remember to change the oil every 3k even though it uses synthetic oil.

They are low quality and I personally would not buy one but if you get it cheap enough like $3000 then I guess if you take care of it it could be OK but they aren't that good a car.

Why don't you get a Buick Lucerne with the 3.8 V6 {black}

Lucerne is too big 😄

I wouldn't buy one. In the real world there are a lot of people who have issues with them. You can do better for your money.
