Have a 2008 chevy aveo just noticed a slight maybe rattling sound from muffler when sitting and does it when i cut it off no check engine light low mileage

Could be a few things but if your Cat is starting to go it could break a piece off and it could be in there. If not while the car is running try and put your foot on the exhaust and push up and see if it stops the noise then if it doesn't do the same up right and left and see if you can stop it yourself. If you can it means something in the exhaust piping is hitting on something and you'll need someone to look at it.
